Monastery Café & Monastery Shop

On the ground floor of the Romanesque south wing, the monastery café and shop welcome visitors. Here, you can relax with a cup of tea or browse the shelves for a small gift for a dear friend.

Here you can arrive, take a deep breath and let time stand still for a moment. Fragrant coffee, delicious cake, creamy ice cream and cool drinks are the ingredients for a little break in the Huysburg Monastery Café.

Is there a better place for a good chat? Perhaps you’d like to take a seat outside on the terrace, where your gaze wanders over the monastery courtyard and, between ancient walls and the open sky, a thought or two takes flight. Dogs are also very welcome here.

Monastery Shop

If you’d like to take a little piece of Huysburg Abbey home with you, you’ll find just what you’re looking for in the abbey shop. Amongst lovingly selected souvenirs, beautiful mementos and gift ideas with a religious theme, you’ll discover many a little treasure.

Exquisite cards and gift books, soothing incense sticks, little treats for the heart and soul – some items serve as mementos, others as words of encouragement, and some are simply a warm-hearted greeting. You can also find little surprises for christenings, name days, First Communion, Confirmation, weddings, Christmas or Easter in the Huysburg monastery shop.
